AsianArt:舊金山亞洲藝術博物館是一座以收藏亞洲文物尤其是中國文物為主的博物館。這裡收藏有來自中國、日本、朝鮮、印度尼西亞等亞洲國家和地區的各類藝術珍品15000多件.

在亞洲以外的博物館中，該博物館是專門收藏亞洲藝術品博物館中規模最大、藏品最多的。1959年，芝加哥大實業家布蘭德治同意將其收藏的部分中國古代藝術品捐贈舊金山，其條件是，舊金山必須建立一個新博物館來收藏和展覽這些藝術品。

舊金山亞洲藝術博物館的宗旨，並非限於收藏和展覽，其另一重要宗旨，在於介紹和普及東方文化。博物館闢有自己的圖書館，且常年舉辦各種東方文化知識講座、示範教學和組織學生參加博物館活動。積極參與社會生活的態度，使該博物館贏得更多的支持者和贊助者。
