Eleven James由NetJets和Marquis Jet的前首席營銷官蘭迪•布蘭多夫(Randy Brandoff)創立，它的定位並不只是租賃服務。每月花249美元一年可從Eleven James租賃3款“較便宜”價值約1萬美元的手錶(6款需每月449美元)，一個月花459美元則可以租賃屬於較高檔品牌的行家收藏品。每月支付899美元可租賃三款價格不菲的“藝術鑑賞”級手錶(6款則需每月1599美元)。租賃完畢後需要將手錶返還給Eleven James清洗，之後它們會提供給其他會員佩戴。
該公司瞄準的是那些不想花幾個月的工資買塊高檔手錶、但又想顯得時髦裝門面的消費者。對於一些自以為懂手錶的人來說，長期戴一款手錶等同於沒戴。Eleven James可為他們帶來一點選擇，它會有專人指引你從各種手錶款式中進行挑選。該公司提供的手錶來自萬國表(IWC)、沛納海(Panerai)、百達翡麗(Patek Philippe)等知名品牌。它剛剛與測試者完成了beta測試，現在已有100多名每幾個月租賃一款新手錶的會員。
Eleven James還希望成為手錶回購服務，讓顧客可以寄售他們的舊手錶。它在跟一些有意利用其服務品牌營銷的品牌商進行合作談判，也已建立了專用演算法來依據會員的偏好為他們推薦手錶。
布蘭多夫並不想讓Eleven James成為另一家租賃服務。“奢侈品市場已經變得將可得到性和體驗放在優先位置。”他說道，“私人飛機、度假屋、古典汽車以及其它眾多有歷史價值的物品現在都可以通過流行度已大大提升的俱樂部和共享平臺獲得了。”他說他只是在追隨潮流而已。
Eleven James之前獲得了140萬美元種子投資，投資者包括諸多的戰略投資者，如Box Group、WGI Group、Kenny Dichter、Ken Austin、Brian Distelberger、Ed Moran、Jason Saltzman。儘管它的服務對於很多對手錶不熱衷的人來說沒什麼吸引力，但它似乎是將新品牌推向粉絲們手中的絕佳途徑，更重要的是，它可以讓人們重溫以往那種戴著優雅的瑞士名牌手錶、哼著小歌漫步林蔭大道的美好時光。
